Jeffrey L. Adair, Co-Founder, CEO and Chief Technology Officer
Jeff Adair began his career as a medical device design engineer with Medical Dynamics in 1983. Jeff directed the engineering department at Medical Dynamics for the next 14 years and assumed the responsibilities associated with the design and development of electronic endoscopes and surgical camera systems. These systems were sold under the Medical Dynamics name as well as OEM systems for some of the largest endoscope companies in the world. Jeff was directly involved with the design and development of many of the innovative products including The 5990 Optical Catheter system, various generations of CCD based surgical camera systems, Xenon and various arc-lamp based light-sources. Jeff was instrumental in developing ground-breaking endoscopic platforms including fiber-based endoscopes for “office arthroscopy” and “office laparoscopy” as well as the industry’s first Electronic Video Laparoscope that integrated the CCD chip into the distal tip of the scope. Jeff also serves as a member of the Board of Directors.
John G. Adair, Co-Founder, Executive Chairman and Chief Financial Officer
John Adair serves as Executive Chairman and CFO of MIS. John previously served as VP-Finance for BaroFold, Inc., a Boulder, Colorado VC-backed biopharmaceutical company focused on developing novel protein therapeutics. Prior to BaroFold, John served as VP-Finance at Dharmacon, Inc. (a subsidiary of Thermo Fisher Scientific), which focused on delivering synthesized RNAi and miRNA to the life science market. Prior to joining Dharmacon, John served as Finance Director at Amgen, Inc’s Colorado facilities in Boulder and Longmont as well as Finance Director and Controller for Akzo-Nobel NV’s generic pharmaceutical division in Denver. After leaving public accounting, John was the Controller and Chief Accounting Officer for Medical Dynamics, Inc. (formerly a Nasdaq-traded medical device company). John started his career as an accounting auditor and tax preparer at RSM (then known as McGladrey and Pullen, followed by RSM McGladrey), the sixth largest provider of assurance, tax and consulting services worldwide. John received his BS degree in Accounting from Colorado State University and his MS degree in Finance from the University of Colorado. John is a CPA and serves as Chairman of the Board. John also serves on the Board of Directors at Colorado Lending Source, the 10th largest SBA 504 lender in the US.
